John Simpson CBE, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston have recently embarked on a remarkable journey exploring the most challenging environments the world has to offer. 

Each of the three men will lead the other two into the area of their expertise.  John, as one of the world's leading war correspondents is taking Ranulph and Robin to Afghanistan.  Ranulph will draw on his experience as a pioneering polar explorer to lead John and Robin through the challenges of the North Pole.  Master mariner, Robin, will share his experiences in tackling the most difficult seas, taking the others to Cape Horn. 

The adventures will all be filmed for the BBC and the programme will be launched in March 2009.
