22 Oct Popular corporate comedians uniting to help refugees.
Comedians Greg Davies, Russell Howard, Dara O’Briain, Jo Brand and Jack Whitehall are due to take part in a major charity comedy benefit to raise funds to help the refugee crisis. Entitled Stand Up in Action, the show will take place at the Hammersmith Apollo on 11th November.
Greg Davies will be hosting the event which will be raising funds specifically for ActionAid and the Refugee Agency. The gig will be a huge fundraiser to help the charity continue its vital work in protecting vulnerable refugee families at this difficult time.
Award winning comedian Greg is the writer and star of Man Down. His shows include Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Royal Variety, 8 out 10 Cats, Mock the Week and Ask Rhod Gilbert. He is the host of the new & recently re-commissioned comedy show, Taskmaster – but perhaps he is best known as the psychotic Head of Sixth Form, Mr Gilbert, in The Inbetweeners. Earlier this month Greg performed cabaret at a celebratory event for PWC as a surprise guest and the response was effusive “… so many positive comments on his performance and it rounded off our whole afternoon brilliantly. We are all still laughing at some of his sketches.”
