One of the UK’s best recognised and revered comedians Frankie Boyle is a regular on numerous comedy panel shows on both the TV and radio. Known for his fast humour and cutting style Frankie has cut a path for himself which few dare to follow.
Frankie leapt onto the circuit in style when he won the Daily Telegraph’s Open Mic competition in 1996, before becoming a regular and popular compere at high-profile clubs across the UK.
While Frankie’s stand-up career reached new heights, his television work took off. After regular appearances on BBC Scotland’s Live Floor Show, Frankie has appeared as a guest on 8 out of 10 Cats, They Think It’s All Over, FAQ U andis a regular on Mock The Week. He is also due to appear in Channel 4’s Law of the Playground in the autumn and new panel shows Pants On Fire (BBC1) and Best of Worst (C4).
Alongside his work in front of the camera, Frankie is also a highly-regarded writer. He has written for several comedy TV series and is currently writing and developing two new shows for Channel 4.
All of this comes in addition to Frankie’s radio work. As well as featuring in Miles Jupp’s Radio 4 series, Frankie was also team captain in BBC Radio Scotland’s Spin on This and Famous for 5 Minutes.
Through the facets of Frankie’s career, his live performances stand strong. Last year Frankie returned to the Edinburgh Festival for the ninth time with his brand-new show, Frankie Boyle: The Voice of Black America. His sucess is well transferable to a corporate stage where he is a popular choice.
