James May
James is renowned as one third of the phenomenally successful BBC series ‘Top Gear’ and nicknamed ‘Captain Slow’ amongst his co-presenters and many fans.
He has also travelled the country to discover the origins of some toys, and create amazing things with them for his popular BBC2 series, ‘James May’s Toys’.
In 2014 he wrote and presented ‘James May’s Cars of the People’. Having stood down from Top Gear in 2015, new projects include a BBC2 series, `Building Cars Live’ co-hosted with Kate Humble and Ant Anstead. The show seeks to explain the science and engineering behind the UK’s car manufacturing industry James is also an accomplished author and columnist and has a massive enthusiasm for both motorbikes and aircraft.
James has a wealth of corporate experience working with many blue chip companies, his relaxed style coupled with his sense of humour, sharp dry wit and exuberant personality make him an ideal choice as an after dinner speaker.
