Dr Jack Lewis has a big mission to bring the latest brain discoveries to everyone, using plain English that’s easy to follow. He is also passionate about getting people excited about science, tech, engineering, and maths (STEM). You might have caught him on Ranganation (BBC2), This Morning (ITV), or even helping make a National Geographic film about the human body. Whether he’s on TV, writing, or speaking, Jack is all about showing how neuroscience can help us every day.
Dr Jack Lewis is a neuroscientist who has spent his life figuring out how our minds work. He achieved his first class BSc degree in neuroscience by the University of Nottingham back in 2001 and finished his PhD at UCL in 2005. Jack has explored how our brains mix sounds and sights to help us see the world, working with high profile groups in Germany and London. His research has even been published in prominent science journals, such as The Journal of Neuroscience.
He has written bestselling books like Sort Your Brain Out, Mice Who Sing for Sex, and The Science of Sin – all full of fun facts about how our brains tick.
Jack has also has significant TV coverage as a science television broadcaster, either as presenter, expert contributor and/or science consultant. His broadcast credits cover major broadcasters such as, BBC, ITV, National Geographic, Sky, MTV, Discovery, and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
