She is renowned for her natural gift as a storyteller and her sharp, distinctive material. Before taking to the stage, Cally built an impressive career in senior management at some of the world’s leading media companies. Early on, she ran an independent television production company acquired by ITV, where she became the youngest — and only female — member of the board. She later founded the award-winning consultancy Road Trip Media, before spending a decade as Senior Vice President at ViacomCBS. There, she managed multi-million-dollar budgets for brands including Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount. If you’ve ever laughed at South Park or SpongeBob SquarePants, you have Cally partly to thank.
Her comedy career began unexpectedly while she was at Comedy Central, after a life-changing conversation with the late Joan Rivers. At 45, as a single parent, she stepped onto the stand-up stage for the first time — and quickly established herself as one of the most original and exciting voices in British comedy. Known for her acerbic, clever and fearless style, she has appeared regularly on BBC2’s QI and The Apprentice: You’re Fired, as well as Live At The Apollo, Pointless Celebrities, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Countdown’s Dictionary Corner and The Blame Game.
On radio, Cally is a favourite with BBC Radio 4 listeners, with credits including The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth, Saturday Live, Museum Of Curiosity, PM and Woman’s Hour. She also contributes regularly to Radio 5 Live, Times Radio, Scala Radio and BBC London.
In 2021, she launched Namaste Motherf**kers, the hit podcast where comedy, business and self-help collide. With the help of celebrity guests and thought-leaders, she digs out the stories you don’t usually hear — unearthing surprising life lessons with trademark humour and warmth. Following on, her debut book of the same name, described as “a modern manifesto for keeping cool when life feels chaotic,” was released in the summer of 2025. The book immediately became the number #1 self-improvement title in the UK as well as featuring in the prestigious Sunday Times Top 10 Bestsellers list. Consequently, the book has been accompanied by an ongoing UK tour of the same name, and came out in paperback in May 2026.
Her popular Instagram reels have amassed over 100 million views.
