Alexander Armstrong is a popular comedy presenter and actor and one half of the comedy duo Armstrong and Miller along with Ben Miller, whom he met in 1992 at Cambridge University Footlights.

With many appearances as guest host on the BBC’s satirical panel game show Have I Got News for You, Alexander is also well recognised for his portrayal of a bumbling Englishman in the Pimms advertising campaign. He is the popular host of the quiz show Pointless and appeared in the ITV series Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Alexander hosted the first National Movie Awards and has chaired various comedy panel shows, including, Best of the Worst, which also features team captains David Mitchell (Peep Show) and Johnny Vaughan.

His other TV credits include, the ITV1 comedy quiz series Don’t Call Me Stupid, The Trial of Tony Blair, Maggie Mae, Hotel Babylon, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who. He has starred in the BBC comedy drama Mutual Friends which follows the dramas of a group of old friends. Alexander also starred as a misanthropic, animal-hating vet in the sitcom Beast. On BBC Radio 4, he has played the part of John Weak in the office sit-com Weak at the Top by Guy Browning.  Alexander renewed his partnership with Ben Miller for the Armstrong and Miller Show.
