Dr. Siân Lawson is currently a special effects consultant whose invited talks have stretched from the House of Commons to continental Europe, the United States, South Africa and New Zealand. Siân’s subsequent move into visual effects made her the first scientist to secure a full-time career in the film industry. Despite previously specialising in human clinical problems, Siân quickly became sort after for her expertise in movement and high-tech motion capture. Her previous experience as a horse trainer combined with her mathematical knowledge and scientific background allowed her to cut a niche for herself in capturing horse, human and other animal stunts working on films that include Troy (2004), King Arthur (2004), Alexander (2004)
