Alice studied politics at university before continuing on to drama school. She appeared in productions ranging from Evita to As You Like it. She was a member of the BBC Radio drama Company and has performed in over 400 radio plays. She was also a magistrate for ten years.
For over 20 years she was also an announcer and newsreader for BBC Radio 4. She also co-presented several series of Jon Holmes’ show Listen Against, a parody of various R4 shows.
She now writes for The Telegraph on-line and for The Guardian, as well as working in a training capacity for the BBC. She has appeared on the Daily Politics championing the increased visibility of women in the media. She is a campaigner for Equality and an entertaining and accomplished speaker.
