Award winning comedian Bill Bailey is also an accomplished musician and actor. Back in 1996, he was nominated for a Perrier Award for his first solo show at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then Bill has completed numerous major UK and International tours. He has also been awarded the Best Stand-up at the British Comedy Awards.
Bill has performed at Kilkenny and Hay Festivals and completed a hugely successful tour of Australia. In addition Bill regularly returns for sell out shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Bill’s previous TV and film credits include several series of the award winning sitcom, Black Books. He also appeared as a regular Team Captain on BBC2’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks. His other TV appearances include Q.I., Jonathan Creek, Wild West, Have I Got News For You and Is It Bill Bailey. Feature films include, Saving Grace, Nanny McPhee, Big Bang and Burke and Hare.
Bill’s book, Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to Happiness, was published in 2020. Also in 2020 he was announced as the winner of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancing partner Otie Mabuse.
