Bob was diagnosed with cancer In 1979 – he was diagnosed with cancer and was given six months to live. After several months of chemotherapy he returned to race riding, coming back with several winners both in England and America. The story of Bob’s life was captured in the film, Champions. His book I’m Champion, Call Me Bob, was published in 2018. Bob is a popular after dinner and motivational speaker.
