By profession TV presenter and after dinner speaker, Clive Anderson, is a Barrister. However he received his taste for comedy and performing when he studied at Selwyn College, Cambridge. He was President of the Cambridge Footlights for a year and wrote and performed in several revues including Stage Fright which he directed. Former winner television industry’s Comedy Presenter of the Year Award and British Comedy Awards Top Channel 4 Presenter.
Perhaps best known as the popular host of Whose Line Is It Anyway and Clive Anderson Talks Back. Clive has also presented numerous other documentary, political, comedy, quiz, arts and live entertainment television programmes including The Big Read for the BBC and ‘The Guardian Sports Quiz’ for Channel 4. On radio, he has chaired Unreliable Evidence, a legal discussion show on Radio 4, and Chat Room, a witty and topical Radio 2 programme. He hosted the BBC TV series is The Funny Side Of … and has appeared on numerous satirical quiz shows including, Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week and QI.
