Entrepreneur and motivational speaker, David Fishwick’s, first forays into business came about when he started buying and selling cars to help make ends meet as an apprentice builder. After two years in the building trade, he opened his own car dealership in a rented garage. It wasn’t long before he bought his first garage, then a larger one and started to sell the occasional second-hand van and minibus. In 1994, he switched exclusively to vans, minibuses and minicoaches and the business has since grown from strength to strength and is now the largest supplier of mini buses in the UK.
In addition to David Fishwick Van and Minibus Sales, David also has many other business interests. David Fishwick is also a big supporter of community sport. The company is a major sponsor of Championship club Burnley FC and backs several community-based teams.
Frustrated with the banking crisis, David decided to set up a bank to provide a lifeline to local businesses struggling to get help from the financial big boys. A two part series about his experiences has just been transmitted on Channel 4.
