David Garrido is an enthusiastic, confident and knowledgeable sports presenter with more than 15 years’ experience in media and broadcasting. He is currently one of the regular faces of Sky Sports News HQ – a real all-rounder on the team, but also with specialisms in football, cricket, tennis and motorsport. He is also an excellent choice as corporate host and speaker for both sporting and business events. David’s career started in 1998 in student radio while at Oxford University where he studied Modern Languages. After winning the 2000 BBC Talent campaign, David joined the BBC where he presented for almost a decade on both TV and radio, most notably Radio 1 Newsbeat and many football programmes. David has covered many sporting events in his career including World Cups, several Wimbledon Championships and Formula 1 Grand Prix, and has also interviewed some of the biggest names in sport. Born of South-American parents, he speaks Spanish natively, as well French and German fluently. “David was fabulous.
