Jim is an enormously talented individual, whose comic presence and off-the-wall material makes him one of the funniest and most original performers around. His superbly dry humour has been enjoyed by audiences throughout Europe, Australia and the USA. In 2008 Jim Tavare became the first British comedian to reach the final of America’s, Last Comic Standing, screened on Paramount TV.
Jim co-wrote and starred in ITV’s ‘The Sketch Show’, which won a BAFTA and syndicated worldwide. To date, ʻThe Sketch Showʼ has been remade for audiences in seven different countries.
He wrote and starred in six highly acclaimed short silent films for BBC2 called ‘Jim Tavaré Pictures Presents’. This was followed by his own comedy sketch series ‘The Jim Tavaré Show’, a thirteen part series co-written with Ricky Gervais, who also starred.

“Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that Jim went down really well on Friday … not only did he do a great show but he is a nice bloke as well. His show was ideal for our audience, a great blend of jokes and visuals, some good ‘off the wall stuff’, some ‘close to bone stuff’ but nothing too ‘risky’! Excellent show! Many thanks ” Adrian White, Director- Business Support
