Co-founder of global award winning mobile tech company, Active Digital, Jo Wimble-Groves, is an inspirational speaker. Selected in Management Today’s ’35 under 35′ Jo went on to win several Women in Business Awards and is also an award winning blogger.
Motivational speaker Jo Wimble-Groves is co-owner of the global award winning communications company, ‘Active Digital’.
Working at Active Digital since she was sixteen, she has gone on to achieve a number of accolades. These include receiving The Young Guns Award for growing businesses, the Female Entrepreneur of the Year. In addition she has been included twice in the ’35 under 35′ in Management today – as seen in the Times & Top 6 Employer of the Year. Active Digital has also won a gold award from the prestigious international Stevie Awards for sales and customer service, which Jo was presented with in Los Angeles.
In 2019 Jo became a `role model’ with Modern Muse Charity. This is an online platform designed to encourage the next generation of female business leaders and entrepreneurs. The platform, www.modernmuse.org, is aimed at girls aged 8 and above. It features the professional pathways of women from all walks of life, working across business and society. There is a a focus on encouraging girls into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers. In 2020 Jo co-created We are Girls in Sport with Caroline Kings. Aside from this, Jo is also a freelance writer with a keen interest in confidence, leadership and women in business. Many of her business articles have featured in high profile publications. These include InStyle Magazine, Changeboard, Training Journal, Cosmopolitan. Plus First Women, Huffington Post, Guardian Careers and Management Today.
As a keynote speaker, Jo has spoken at a number of events including Microsoft, Apple and the global law firm, Reed Smith. Jo also joined forces with ex England Women’s Rugby Captain Catherine Spencer to form Inspiring Women Workshops. This is a series of events designed to encourage females to have the confidence to become stronger business leaders.
Jo’s aim is to encourage and inspire excellence and her talks can cover an array of subjects from technology, confidence, entrepreneurship, through to leadership and management.
