Entertaining and inspirational speaker Joe Marler is a powerhouse of modern rugby and one of the sport’s most recognisable and respected figures. A two-time Premiership champion with more than 95 England caps. Joe spent his entire club career at Harlequins—claiming two Premiership titles, the European Challenge Cup. He made over 200 appearances before announcing his retirement from professional rugby in November 2024.

In 2020, Joe released his bestselling debut book, Loose Head: Confessions of an (Un)Professional Rugby Player, giving fans an honest and humorous look inside the world of elite sport.
A passionate mental-health advocate and ambassador for CALM, Joe partnered with Sky Sports in 2021 to create Big Boys Don’t Cry. This was a moving documentary exploring men’s mental wellbeing across the UK.
Joe has continued to support the sport he loves having become Performance Director at Team England Rugby. Here he brings his experience, leadership, and trademark authenticity to the next generation of athletes.
Joe was a very popular finalist in the first BBC Celebrity Traitors series in 2025. He was widely acknowledged for his quick wit, direct questioning and uncanny detective work.
