Kate Silverton is an extremely accomplished journalist and BBC presenter. She has broadcast from Basra frontline as well as the BBC’s coverage of the Oscars and the Glastonbury festival, and is equally effective reporting from the Middle East war zones as she is hosting celebrity award ceremonies.
She is now established as the new face of BBC news. She has had immense success on BBC Breakfast and BBC News 24 and recently launched the BBC’s flagship 8 pm bulletin. Kate is also presenting the BBC One O’Clock News as well as the key reporter for Panorama. She has presented the prime time BBC1 feature “Ultimate Wild Water”; overcoming her fear of open water to tackle some of Britain’s most notorious waters by kayak. She has developed a reputation for being warm and open in addition to being hugely focused and highly professional.
Before moving into journalism Kate worked as a corporate financier in the city. It is her wide ranging experience of both business and journalism that has enabled her to interview major political, military and showbusiness figures, whilst also chairing conferences and debates for a broad cross section of Britain’s biggest organizations such as BT, Royal Bank Of Scotland, KPMG, The Royal Navy and Transport For London.
Kate is a popular Corporate Facilitator and Events Host and recent feedback includes:
