Renowned broadcaster, writer, presenter and endurance athlete, Louise Minchin, is in much demand as an inspirational event host.
Broadcaster Louise Minchin is a well-known and respected journalist and writer. Louise presented the UK’s most watched Breakfast programme BBC Breakfast on BBC One for 20 years.
Before joining BBC Breakfast she was one of BBC News 24’s main anchors. Louise presents the BBC’s Triathlon coverage. She has also guest presented The One Show and presented the BBC One series Real Rescues, Missing Live and Crime and Punishment. Louise has appeared in the Channel 4 history series Time Crashers. She presented Tonight: The Truth About Stalking for ITV, asking important questions on whether enough is being done to tackle the crime. Louise was thrown into the Welsh castle for ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in Autumn 2021 and also competed in Celebrity MasterChef, coming runner up in the final.
Louise is also an endurance athlete who has completed two of the toughest triathlons in the world, Norseman and Patagonman. In 2020 Louise took part in a 100 mile hike across the Namibian desert for Sport Relief – The Heat is On – raising awareness of mental health. She and her daughter, Mia, also completed the London Marathon 2023 in aid of the cancer charity, Move.
Louise presents two podcasts, Her Spirit, which is aimed at encouraging women to be active. She is also the host of the top-rated podcast, Push Your Peak in which she interviews top athletes about their journeys to excellence.
On Radio, Louise spent many years presenting a host of different programmes on radio including Sport on Five, and Drive on BBC Five Live.
Her first book, Dare to Tri, chartered her journey from the famous BBC Breakfast red sofa to representing the Great Britain Triathlon team in her age group at six World and European Championships. In 2023 Louise published her book, Fearless – described by Gabby Logan as, “Incredibly moving and inspiring.” Her latest book, Isolation Island, was published in 2024.
Louise has extensive experience of working with live audiences, interviewing company CEOs, chairing group discussions and conducting Question and Answer sessions. She is consistently praised for her professional, thorough and engaging approach, and is frequently invited back to host and chair events.
