31 Mar New game show for favourite corporate comedy host
It has just been announced that Alexander Armstrong is to front a new ITV game show. The programme entitled, `Don’t Ask Me Ask Britain’ is a live interactive show that asks TV views to vote on a variety of topics. The studio celebrity panel will try and guess what the home audience will answer.
The show will involve the home audience downloading a free App in order to take part and questions will be opinion based ones such as, “what would you do if you saw someone leave £50 at a cash point?”
Alexander, who is a firm favourite with the quiz show format thanks to the huge success of the award winning BBC 1 Pointless, has had six hour long episodes commissioned by ITV to air later this spring.
In addition to his presenting, Alexander’s singing career is florishing. His debut solo vocal album, A Year of Songs, with Warner Music Group’s East West Records label reached number 6 in the UK albums chart in the first week of release and reached the top of the UK classical charts. This was the very first time a comedian or actor had reached number one in that chart. He has since had sell out tours and another highly successful album, Upon a Different Shore.
At the end of last year we arranged for Alexander to give a comedy introduction and host the prestigious Isle of Man Excellence Awards. Guests were delighted that he included a song with the house band in his host role for the evening.
Alexander is a perfect choice both as an event host, awards presenter and witty after dinner speaker
