Mental health speaker, Dr Ritika (aka Dr Ritz) Suk Birah, is a qualified Consultant Counselling Psychologist (HCPC), with a background in Neuroscience (BSc.Hons)
She was born in Berkshire, raised in Singapore and spent university holidays in Hong Kong with her family. Experiencing different parts of the world and being a British Indian herself, she has a deep appreciation for different cultures.
Dr Ritz is collaborating with Dr Vicki to bring you an exciting new podcast, The Therapy Floor. With their clinical knowledge and experience, they tackle a wide range of dilemmas, providing insight and practical advice.
Ritz is also a Consultant at three private hospitals in the UK where she sees people for psychological therapy. She specialises in acute general psychiatry. In addition, Ritz developed and recently launched an online journal subscription service delivered through WhatsApp called Reflect with Dr Ritz. This is a low cost service aimed at making principles and techniques from therapy, psychology and neuroscience accessible to as many people as possible.
With over 12 years experience in the clinical field, she delivers sought after mental health and wellbeing programmes which are rooted in neuroscience and resilience to private and public organisations. Dr Ritz balances her time between individual therapy, delivering speeches & workshops and developing bespoke programmes for workplaces. Key speaking themes include:
