The inimitable Ruby Wax is renowned from her TV interview series with international figures as well as shows including Girls On Top and Absolutely Fabulous. She has since achieved an MA from Oxford University and qualified as a psychotherapist. Ruby speaks and writes about the benefits of mindfulness and is an ideal addition to any wellness based event. Ruby also speaks about effective communications and leadership skills, as well as being an excellent comedy host.

Ruby’s acting career began with the Royal Shakespeare Company on her arrival from the States. Her TV career began with writing and starring in Girls on Top with French and Saunders & Tracey Ullman. Over the next 25 years Ruby wrote and performed extensively for the BBC and C4 with her own immensely popular TV shows and memorable interviews
Ruby went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford in 2013. She received a Master’s in Psychotherapy from Regent’s College, London where she is also an Honorary Senior Fellow. In addition, Ruby is a Visiting Professor in the School of Mental Health Nursing at the University of Surrey, and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the School of Psychology at The University of East London.
She speaks at Parliament and Downing Street to raise money for neuroscience research and breaking the stigma. She is an ambassador for MIND and SANE charities and is on the board of the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
Ruby gave a TedTalk at TEDGlobal 2012. Her speaking work includes presentations for GOOGLE, MI5, EBAY, SKYPE, APPLE, Following publication of her first bestselling book combining neuroscience, mindfulness and comedy, Sane New World, in January 2017 her second, A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled came out in paperback. The hardback sold over 100,000 copies and is distributed in over 20 countries. Her latest book was How to Be Human.
She has launched her Frazzled Cafes in partnership with Marks and Spencer’s throughout the UK. Each store in the scheme closes their cafes for two hours for groups to meet regularly. These are not necessarily for people with Mental Health problems but for everyone who is frazzled
Ruby’s books have topped the Sunday Times Bestseller’s lists and been published all over the world.
In 2016 Ruby received an OBE for her services to mental health and received The Veuve Clicquot Woman of the Year.
In her conference presentations Ruby shows how leadership skills can be taught and developed, and how techniques she used in celebrity interviews translate clearly into business . She also addresses the need to cope with stress, finding strategies that work and opening communication throughout organisations.
