Renowned broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald OBE is arguably the most recognisable news presenter in British broadcasting history.

He has been honoured with the Judges Award at the Royal Television Society, Television Journalism Awards for “a truly lifetime achievement in broadcast journalism.”

Before joining the News at Ten, Trevor McDonald was diplomatic editor on Channel 4 News. In addition to news presenting, Trevor has fronted ITV’s critically acclaimed current affairs programme, Tonight with Trevor McDonald. He has also hosted his own chat show ‘Trevor McDonald Meets…’ on ITV2, ITV’s digital channel. Since their inception in 1995, he has regularly presented the National Television Awards. Trevor presented a popular episode of Have I Got News For You. He hosted the new ITV version of This Is Your Life featuring Simon Cowell.  He has also hosted the ITV satirical comedy show News Knight with Sir Trevor McDonald.

He was knighted by the Queen for services to journalism, has won a BAFTA fellowship, as well as the Dimbleby award for Outstanding Contribution to Television. He continues to present various documentaries … With Trevor McDonald.

Away from broadcasting he is a keen sports fan, and was previously President of Surrey County Cricket Club.

Sir Trevor is an experienced and revered public speaker, and can offer corporate roles such as host, compere, keynote speaker and can conduct Q&A Sessions.
